**Cleaned over 50 miles of the James River**

Good News - 18 percent decrease from 2000 Cleanup in the number of tires found in the James River.

Bad News - 500 percent increase from 2000 Cleanup in the bags of recyclable material taken from the James River and 100 percent increase from 2000 Cleanup in the barrels of recyclable material taken from the James River.

The low waterlevels allowed more tires to be visible for cleanup and the lack of recent strong rains prevented trash from washing down from upstream tributaries.
